Kigali: As in previous editions, the 12th edition of Africa Eco Race Rally is going ahead as planned without a glitch or any problem.
The rally scheduled between 7 and 13 January was crossing several Moroccan cities including Moroccan Sahara with 688 competitors and 266 vehicles.
The participants have crossed the Guerguarate crossing point on the borders with Mauritania under normal conditions and without any incident, except some isolated disturbing acts carried out by some elements in the pay of Algiers. These acts had no impact on the running of this competition.
The success of this edition of the Rally Africa Eco Race represents a first setback for the new Algerian officials.
The participants who are now continuing their races to reach their final destination in Senegal have expressed their satisfaction of the good organization of this edition.(Fin)
