Today at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame met with Dr. Lassina Zerbo, Chairperson of Rwanda Atomic Energy Board (RAEB) and Dr. Fidel Ndahayo, CEO of RAEB.
They discussed the importance of nuclear energy for Africa’s future and the need to invest in capacity building to take advantage of ongoing innovations, including the development of small modular reactor technology.
The Rwanda Atomic Energy Board (RAEB) is expected to set up nuclear facilities based on the international standard, coordinate research and implementation of the Centre for Nuclear Science and Technology project, among other things. (End).
