On the sidelines of “Rwanda Day” in Washington, President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame today joined close to 3,500 guests including US Cabinet members, US Congress members, the diplomatic corps in Washington, UN diplomats, & US and foreign business leaders, for the National Prayer Breakfast, an annual event convening the political, social, and business leaders to assemble and pray together.
The National Prayer Breakfast is a yearly event held in Washington, D.C., usually on the first Thursday in February, attended by some 3,500 guests, including international invitees from over 100 countries.
President Kagame is scheduled to participate from February 2 to 3, 2024 in “Rwanda Day”, an event that brings together Rwandans from the diaspora and those from the country to discuss national matters.
President’s Kagame last visited the US in September 2023 when he attended the United Nations General Assembly.
Rwanda and the United States enjoy a solid relationship. Both countries foster an active partnership in development cooperation, public health, climate change, trade and investments. (End)
