President Kagame met with Guido Brusco, the Chief Operating Officer in charge of Natural Resources at Eni, the Italian National Hydrocarbons Agency.
“They discussed the ongoing partnership between Rwanda and Eni in the sector of agriculture, health, clean cooking, technology and conservation” according to the Rwanda State House.
Ongoing projects include precision farming now employing close to 1,000 farmers, artificial intelligence technology to monitor and protect Gishwati-Mukura National park, distribution of clean cooking stoves, among others.
Eni is an integrated energy company with over 30,000 employees in 68 countries around the world. Its activities range from the development of new energy solutions to the more traditional exploration and production of hydrocarbons, the refining and marketing of oil products and biofuels; from the generation and commercialization of electricity to the production of renewable energy; from the development of chemical and bio-based products to environmental activities.
