President Kagame held a significant meeting with Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest individual and the founder, chairman, CEO of the Dangote Group and owner of the Dangote Refinery, the largest single-train refinery in the world.

President Kagame and Aliko Dangote “discussed opportunities for partnership and investment as well as the need to increase intra-Africa trade” according to the Rwandan State House.

This encounter occurred on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum (ACF2024) underway in Kigali from 16th to 17th 2024.

A Nigerian billionaire and industrialist, Aliko Dangote is the founder and chairman of the Dangote Group, a multi-industry conglomerate with interests in commodities like cement, sugar, and flour.

As Africa’s richest person, Dangote’s business ventures have had a profound impact on the continent’s economic landscape, fostering job creation and contributing significantly to its countries’ GDPs.

His philanthropic efforts, primarily through the Aliko Dangote Foundation, have also been instrumental in addressing health, education, and nutritional challenges across Africa.  (End)
