Rwanda participated in the 121st UN Tourism executive council in Barcelona

Rwanda, represented by RDB (Rwanda Development Board) Head of Tourism and Conservation Ariella Kageruka, participated in the 121st session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Executive Council from 10-11 June in Barcelona, Spain.

The discussions focused on analysing international tourism trends, developing strategies for the sustainability of the tourism sector, emphasising the importance of investing in human resource development to maintain global competitiveness, and growing multilateralism and bi-regional collaboration for increased impact across all regions.

Tourism leaders from around the globe gathered for the 121st session of the Executive Council of UN Tourism to shape the future of the sector. Representatives from 47 countries, including 18 Ministers of Tourism, advanced our vision for a full recovery. (End)
