On Tuesday, 17 September 2024, the European Union in Rwanda, Member States and the Government of Rwanda will sign four supplementary contracts to boost Rwanda’s ecosystem for manufacturing health products including vaccines. The signing will take place in the margins of the East Africa Pharma and Biotech Conference in Kigali.
The signing comes against the backdrop of the signing of a €40 million financial agreement in December 2023 in the presence of Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame alongside the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
The Ambassador of the European Union to Rwanda H.E Belen Calvo Uyarra will sign in Kigali Convention Center (KCC) on behalf of EU and Member States while the Rwandan Government will be represented by the Ministers of Health and Education. (End)
