Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Yusuf Murangwa and the Rwandan delegation had fruitful discussions yesterday on the sidelines of the Word Bank Group Meetings with IFC Managing Director Makhtar Diop.
“Great start to the World Bank Group meetings with Rwanda’s Minister of Finance Yusuf_Murangwa. We reflected on our partnership and explored new opportunities to enhance collaboration, especially with state-owned enterprises and public-private partnerships”, Makhtar Diop via X.
The two leaders explored ongoing partnerships and identified new collaboration opportunities, including among others governance of state-owned enterprises and public-private partnerships, agribusiness and hospitality sector development.
IFC-a member of the World Bank Group-is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets.
The 2024 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) is taking place from Monday, October 21 to Saturday, October 26, in Washington, D.C., US., with the main ministerial meetings and events taking place between October 22-25. (End)
