Over 4,300 students in Kigali tipped on fighting drug abuse, gender based violence

On Wednesday, October 30, Rwanda National Police (RNP) conducted awareness campaigns against drug abuse and gender based violence in three schools in the City of Kigali to further address one of the pressing issues affecting youth and family development.  

The sensitization conducted in GS Rwankuba of Gasabo District, GS Karembure from Kicukiro District and GS EPA St. Michael in Nyarugenge District; is part of the community policing efforts to engage the youth in crime prevention and community development.  

During the outreach, anti-drugs and anti-GBV clubs were also established in the three schools to further raise awareness against crime and cultivate moral values that prevents the students from abusing drugs and indulging in other unlawful and immoral acts. (End)
