Visit Rwanda hosted the BAL Business Cocktail in Paris

Visit Rwanda hosted the BAL (Basketball Africa League) Business Cocktail in Paris, highlighting Rwanda as a premier destination for tourism and investment.

Visit Rwanda is the country’s flagship tourism initiative and the major sponsor of the Basketball Africa League 

The cocktail was attended by key personalities including NBA star Pascal Siakam, BAL president Amadou Gallo Fall, NBA Africa CEO Clare Akamanzi, Secretary General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo.

“Rwanda has invested in positioning the country as a leader in innovation and a prime destination for business, both for Rwanda and Africa as a whole. The BAL perfectly aligns with this vision,” said Michelle Umurungi, Chief Investment Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB).

“What we are most proud of in  NBA Africa’s journey is establishing a complete pathway for young basketball players with a passion for the game to access opportunities. Beyond sports, the BAL creates partnerships that support economic development,” reacted Amadou Gallo Fall. 

The BAL and Visit Rwanda business cocktail brought together industry leaders, partners, and stakeholders for a night of networking, collaboration, and celebration, where connections were made and the future of sports business in Africa took center stage!

At the BAL and Visit Rwanda panel, industry leaders explored the economic impact of sports and how the BAL is driving business and tourism growth across Africa.

From investment opportunities to infrastructure development, this conversation highlighted the league’s role in shaping a thriving sports ecosystem. (End)
