On April 1st to 2nd, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Wang Xuekun, attended the 16th Congress of RPF-Inkotanyi as representative of the Communist Party of China.
The Ambassador passed on the warm congratulations from the CPC on the successful convening of the 16th National Congress and celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the RPF, during which new RPF National Executive Committee were elected with President Paul Kagame as Chairman.
The Ambassador said, over the past 35 years, the RPF led the people in exploring a path to modernization and has delivered remarkable achievements in national development. The RPF has won sincere support of the Rwandan people and praise from the international community. He also extended congratulations to the new leadership of the RPF with H.E. President Paul Kagame as the Chairman. The CPC stays committed to deepening exchanges and cooperation with the RPF for stronger bilateral relations and more benefit of our two peoples.
President Paul Kagame, Chairman of the RPF attended the event and delivered keynote remarks, asking cadres to stay the course, keep trying and innovating, to build a better Rwanda. He reaffirmed RPF’s value in helping brothers and sisters of African countries to share the bilateral good and achieve common prosperity.
During the event, different panel discussions were also held to reflect on the past 35 years of the RPF and discuss prospects of Africa’s development. Delegations from other African foreign political parties were also invited to the meeting and delivered congratulatory messages respectively. (End)
