On September 14, the Rwanda-China Alumni Organization (RCAO) and the authorities of Kicukiro District of Kigali jointly organized a special “Umuganda” activity to help the local community level sports court.
Around 200 people including Ambassador Wang Xuekun, Mr. Antoine Mutsinzi, District Executive Administrator of Kicukiro District, representatives of the RCAO and Chinese citizens in Rwanda, together with residents from the neighborhood participated in the event.
Mr. Antoine Mutsinzi and Mr. Theoneste Higaniro, Chairman of RCAO expressed sincere thanks to China for its support for Rwanda’s development. They said that the Ambassador has several times led embassy staff and Chinese friends to participate in the “Umuganda” in the district, showing that China is a true friend and good partner of Rwanda. They look forward to strengthening the cooperation between the two countries to create more benefits for the people.
Ambassador Wang briefed the participants on the outcomes of the recent Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, emphasizing that a series of consensus were reached during the talks between President Xi Jinping and President Paul Kagame, giving important guidance for the deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries. He said, “happy lives must be built by our own hands”, China is willing to work with Rwanda to jointly implement the consensus of the two heads of state and achieve more cooperation outcomes. (End).
