Bishop of Catholic Church of Pemba Diocese in Cabo Delgado Province(Mozambique), Dom Antonio Juliasse Sandramo, along with his delegation visited Rwanda Security Forces Headquarters(Hdqrs) in Mocimboa da Praia District and were welcomed by RSF JTF Commander Maj Gen Eugene Nkubito who briefed them on the security situation in the RSF area of responsibility.
Bishop Dom Antonio Juliasse Santramo reiterated the praiseworthy role of Rwandan Security Forces in restoring normalcy in the Districts of Palma and Mocimboa da Praia.
He said that, during his week-long visit to the two districts, he had the opportunity to see the results of the efforts made to restore security. He also met with many people who expressed their satisfaction with existing relationships and collaboration between the RSF and the populace.
He further stressed that the tour was also a good opportunity to explore the more ways in which the people can be supported, including restoring their religious activities since most of the churches in the province were destroyed. (End)
