WANG Xuekun, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, met with Hon. Juvenal MARIZAMUNDA, Minister of Defence of Rwanda, and Gen. Mubarakh MUGANGA, Chief of Defence Staff of Rwanda Defence Force, to exchange views over China-Rwanda defence and military cooperation. Captain LI Dayi, the first Chinese Defence Attaché in Rwanda, joined the meeting.
The Rwandan side warmly welcomed the arrival of China’s first Defence Attaché in Rwanda, saying that Rwanda and China enjoy excellent relations, robust practical cooperation in various fields, and profound military-to-military friendship.
They hope that both sides can take the opportunity of the new arrival of Defence Attaché to deepen defence and military cooperation, strengthen regular communication, and achieve more outcomes. Rwanda is willing to actively learn from China’s experiences to better safeguard homeland security and ensure people’s peaceful life.
The Ambassador said that China is willing to actively work with Rwanda to deepen defence and military cooperation, and contribute to regional peace and security. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional hotspot issues of common concern. (End)
