Chinese President Xi Jinping met with his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame who is in China for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Noting that the FOCAC 2024 Summit provides historic opportunities for upgrading China-Rwanda friendly ties, President Xi Jinping pointed out that Both China and Rwanda put public interest and the people at the centre of party and state governance.
President Xi Jinping stressed that China is ready to enhance political trust and expand the convergence of shared visions with Rwanda, and be each other’s companion on the path of modernization.
President Kagame thanked the Chinese side for its warm hospitality that made the Rwandan delegation feel at home and looked forward to the complete success of the FOCAC Beijing Summit.
This morning, President Kagame joined leaders from the continent and from China for the opening ceremony of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit. (End)
