Since parting ways with AS Kigali in April last season, football coach Djuma Masudi has been without a permanent coaching job.
While in charge of AS Kigali the Burundian only spent six months with the Kigali City-sponsored club.
The 42-year-old will however, take charge of Bugesera FC after being handed a new job by the Eastern Province side on a one-year contract deal.
Musadi who in part coached Rayon Sports leading them to championship titles takes over from Justin Bisegimana who was fired by the club management over the weekend.
The fixture against Police FC saw Bugesera FC fall nine points behind the top three current clubs, now the hope of reaching the top five looks far away.
Out of the eight games played this season, the club has only won two and drawn twice going on to squander four matches in total. Currently, they are placed in 11 positions with eight points.
Masudi’s appointment comes on the back of the clubs disappointing run of form, yet management signed some of the top players during the transfer window.
After the international break, Bugesera FC will commence the league by hosting Mukura VS in the tricky game that welcomes the new coach. Thereafter they have a trip to Mumena Stadium against SC Kiyovu.
Coach Djuma Masudi was a member of Burundi national football team and played three games in the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship in Qatar.
