On 27th May 2024, Kigali Genocide Memorial welcomed the Danish Minister for Taxation Jeppe Bruus who came to pay respects to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
To begin his visit at the memorial, Minister Jeppe Bruus laid a wreath at the burial place where 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi are laid to rest. He also observed a minute of silence in honour of more than one million victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Guided through the memorial’s exhibits, Minister Jeppe Bruus and other members of his delegation received an outline of the history of division in Rwanda, the causes, reality and consequences of the Genocide against the Tutsi and Rwanda’s efforts to foster a shared sense of national identity.
Minister Jeppe Bruus who is in Rwanda for a working visit met today Jeanine Munyeshuli, Rwanda’s Minister of State In charge of Public Investment and Resource Mobilization.
The two leaders discussed key topics such as domestic resource mobilization, climate finance, and enhancing cooperation between Denmark and Rwanda.
