Faculty members and students from the National Defence Institute of Senegal visit RDF HQS

Navy Captain Baye Meissa KHOULE, the Deputy Director of National Defence Institute of Senegal. 

Today, 26 faculty members and Students from Senegal’s National Defence Institute visited the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) headquarters(HQS). 

They were received on behalf of RDF Chief of Defence Staff, by the Defence and Military Spokesperson, Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga who briefed them on RDF’s transformation journey and regional security dynamics.

The delegation composed of students from Senegal, Morocco, Mauritania, Cameroon, Tchad, Togo, Cote d’Ivoire are on a study tour in Rwanda from 23 – 29 June 2024, is headed by Navy Captain Baye Meissa KHOULE, the Deputy Director of National Defence Institute of Senegal. 

“We came here to learn from the Rwanda Defence Force, observe their operations, and understand how the people of Rwanda overcame challenges to become a model for the continent,” said Navy Captain KHOULE.

Yesterday, the delegation paid tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and later visited the Campaign Against Genocide Museum.

The schedule for the delegation also includes visits to Rwanda Military Academy – Gako and several other government and private institutions. (End)
