The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita and his Comoran counterpart Mr. Dhoihir Dhoulkamal, inaugurated the Embassy of the Union of the Comoros in Rabat on Monday, October 26, 2020.
On the occasion of the official visit to Morocco of the Comorian Minister, the two countries also signed five cooperation agreements touching on diplomatic training, communities living abroad, agriculture and health, in addition to a mechanism for political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Morocco and the Union of the Comoros.
These agreements were signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita and his Comoran counterpart Mr. Dhoihir Dhoulkamal, following bilateral talks.
Regarding the agreement in the agricultural field, it aims to establish a general framework for cooperation, through several actions, including agricultural vocational training, adaptation of irrigation and water management, climate change and the development of agricultural and agrifood value chains
As for the cooperation protocol in the field of health, it is intended to establish a health cooperation programme between the two countries to improve the health of their respective populations.
