Rwanda National Police (RNP) rolled out a mass Gerayo Amahoro campaign in the Eastern Province as part of the ongoing national awareness to make road safety a culture.
Police officers engaged over 6,800 road users in different districts of the region on proper use of the road, meaning of road signs, and human behaviours that contribute to fatal accidents.
Those sensitized include students, pedestrians, taxi-moto operators and cyclists, who were urged to abide by traffic rules and regulations, including zebra crossing, to avoid using a phone when crossing the road, driving or riding; to respect speed limits and intoxication. (End)
