Today, Kigali Genocide Memorial welcomed 180 members of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO) who visited and laid wreaths on the burial place in remembrance and honour of the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
Guided through the memorial’s exhibitions, members of the Young Presidents’ Organisation were shown the causes and consequences of the Genocide against the Tutsi as well as the incredible stories on Rwanda’s journey to rebuilding.
This National Heroes Day, Young Presidents’ Organisation members delved into the inspiring stories of Rwandan heroes. From those who sacrificed for Tutsi survival during the Genocide to the liberators and defiant young souls from Nyange school who chose unity over separation.
