The two Ministers signed an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation
Earlier today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta received UAE’s Foreign Affairs Minister of State Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan and his delegation.
“They discussed boosting economic cooperation between the two countries and signed an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation”, according to the Rwandan diplomacy.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates were established in 1995. In February 2019, the President of the Republic of Rwanda led a ministerial delegation and attended the World Government Summit 2019 in Dubai.
The two countries have signed the following Agreements and memoranda :
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Rwanda and the Government of the United Arab Emirates for the Promotion and Protection on Investments.
Agreement between the Republic of Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital.
Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Manpower / Labor Cooperation between the Government of the UAE & the Government of Rwanda and the Protocol on Domestic Workers, Annexed to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Labor Cooperation.
Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Rwanda and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
Memorandum of Understanding for exemption from entry visas. Memorandum of Understanding to provide scholarships. Memorandum of Understanding to provide vocational training for 100 women in the field of hospitality and tourism. (End).
