Earlier today, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Ildephonse Musafiri, participated in the opening panel discussion of the 4th global conference of the Sustainable Food Systems Programme in Ha Noi, Vietnam.
“Sustainable access to nutritious food and an ecosystem that delivers economic benefit and environmental safeguards will not be achieved by Ministries of Agriculture alone. There will be a need for a multi-sectoral approach”, said Minister Ildephonse Musafiri.
The Sustainable Food Systems Programme of the United Nations organises its 4th global conference of the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Food Systems Programme (SFS Programme) from 24 to 27 April.
Themed “Emerging from global crises by shaping sustainable, resilient, healthy, and inclusive food systems,” the conference will examine major barriers to the transformation of food systems and put forward recommendations to ensure global food security. (End)
