Minister Musafiri presents Rwanda’s $785 million agricultural investment opportunities

 Minister Musafiri presented five key investment opportunities in Rwanda’s agriculture sector

The Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources Ildephonse Musafiri attended third Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum which began today in Rome during the World Food Forum 2024 in Rome, where 29 countries presented 115 high-impact agrifood investments to wide array of potential partners. 

As part of the FAO Hand in Hand Initiative, Minister Ildephonse Musafiri presented to investors five key investment opportunities in Rwanda’s agriculture sector: tea, small livestock, Irish potatoes, horticulture, and beef production, with an estimated investment of $785 million.

Minister Ildephonse Musafiri also met with the acting FAO Representative to Rwanda, Dr. Nomathemba Mhlanga, on the sidelines of the World Food Forum 2024 in Rome, Italy. They discussed advancing ongoing and new projects to transform food systems in Rwanda. 

Minister Ildephonse Musafiri represented the President of the Republic of Rwanda at the Official Opening of the World Food Forum 2024 in Rome.  Launched in 2021, this premier global platform is key to shaping agrifood systems for a sustainable future and advancing SDGs. (End)
