Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, and the Army Chief Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga received a delegation from the EASF (Eastern Africa Standby Force) led by its Director, Brigadier (rtd) Paul Kahuria Njema. They discussed issues related to readiness of the East African Standby Force and future plans.
Minister Marizamunda and Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga also received the EU Ambassador to Rwanda, Belen Calvo Uyarra, and the British High Commissioner to Rwanda, Omar Daair.
The discussion with Ambassador Belen Calvo Uyarra was focused on cooperation in the area of peacekeeping and security. They discussed ways of strengthening defence cooperation with High Commissioner Omar Daair.. (End)
