Ministry of Sports and RDB announce the FC Bayern Youth Cup National Final Rwanda 2024

The Ministry of Sports, in collaboration with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and FC Bayern Academy, is pleased to announce the FC Bayern Youth Cup National Final Rwanda 2024, set to take place at the Kigali Pele Stadium on Thursday, September 5, 2024. The tournament will start at 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

The tournament will bring together 100 of the most promising young footballers born in 2008 and 2009, scouted from across the country by the Rwanda FC Bayern Academy.

The event offers the talented young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills on a national stage and compete for the chance to feature at the FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final in Munich, Germany, in October 2024.

The players will be divided into 10 teams in 7v7 format each consisting of 10 players. The group stage will be followed by Semi-Finals and Finals games.

After the Final game, the Rwanda Football Federation, in partnership with FC Bayern Academy’s Technical Staff, will announce the best 10 players who will be eligible to attend FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final.

Over the last months, we’ve been scouting many young talents in the provinces of Rwanda. The scouting system allows everyone to showcase their talent, before inviting the best 100 players to the Youth Cup National Final in KigaliFurthermore, the players will be able to show their international standard at the FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final in Munich, where the players will be compared to other young talents from all over the world.” Said Bernhard Hirmer, Director of coaching at the FC Bayern Academy in Rwanda.
