Morocco plays a major role in Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and even in Arab-European cooperation, said in Rabat, on Tuesday 13th October, 2020, the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Mr Nasser Kamel.
The Kingdom has always been a leader in relations between the two shores of the Mediterranean, he pointed out at a press briefing following talks with the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita.
Mr. Kamel underlined that his visit is intended to learn about Morocco’s vision and its proposals regarding the challenges facing the Union in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim is to build balanced relationships on the basis of sustainable development, he explained.
Morocco has always had a “clear” vision on the framework of Euro-Mediterranean relations and their priority areas, while working in favor of balanced relations between two partner shores that share common interests, Mr Kamel pointed out.
