Kigali: A Spanish humanitarian convoy composed of 03 ambulances and 06 vehicles transporting nearly 30 tons of food and pharmaceuticals for the inhabitants of the Tindouf camps, has been blocked by the algerian authorities since October 17, 2018, at the port of Oran, located in the west of the country.

Volunteers accompanying this caravan have been banned from leaving the port, by the security services that require the production of a special exemption signed by the algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, in person.

The interception of these actors of Spanish associations, which are led by the director of the political party "Podemos" in Madrid, has occurred, according to youth Saharawi from camps, following the insistence of these volunteers to accompany these humanitarian aid to Tindouf camps and assist to their distribution instead of putting them at the disposal of the leaders of the Algerian red crescent and the "Polisario" at the port of Oran.

The organizers of this caravan seized young saharawis to urge them to act to put an end to what they called "their secret detention" in the port of Oran. (End)
