PM Ngirente delivered a keynote at the annual Tallinn Digital Summit in Estonia

This morning, The Rwandan Premier Minister (PM) Dr. Ngirente delivered a keynote address at the annual Tallinn Digital Summit, taking place in Estonia. This year, the Summit focused on delivering trusted connectivity and trusted partnerships.  

“Digital technology is changing the world, and with the experience of Covid-19, people have experienced the acceleration of the digital revolution”, the Rwandan Premier Minister Edouard Ngirente said. 

“For Rwanda and many other countries, broadband connectivity for all is key to our national priorities as we strive to leave no one behind in a very increasing digital world”, he emphasized. 

“To achieve this, collaboration and productive partnerships are critical. This is why we are here today,” Dr Edouard Ngirente added. 

“Digital and physical infrastructure are important enablers for accessible, affordable, and secure digital services,” he asserted.

Tallinn Digital Summit, an annual event, is hosted by the Estonian Prime Minister that gathers together leaders of like-minded and digitally-advanced countries, international organisations, and the private sector to address the most pressing issues on our road toward a connected digital future.

This year’s Summit will focus on delivering trusted connectivity through trusted partnerships. The Summit will elaborate on what a trusted and secure digital society could look like, as well as on concrete steps for governments, financial institutions, international organizations, technical experts, and the private sector to take to ensure our digital future advances human freedom, human dignity, and the rules-based international order.
