Kigali: President Kagame on Saturday received members of the Chief Executives Organisation who called on him at Urugwiro Village. The team of close to 40 executives from around the globe, and originating from various business backgrounds are in the country on a fact finding mission for potential investment opportunities.

Speaking to the media on behalf of the group, Kurn Werner, founder and CEO of Ocean Enterprises said members of the group had been in Rwanda several times before and would keep coming because of the relationship they had cultivated with the country.

“We are interested in business with Rwanda, and the meeting with the President helped us understand in many ways why Rwanda today is an ideal destination for investment. The President shared with us the specific ways we can invest and build business here and we are looking forward to that. As we travel around this country we are able to see the various attractive opportunities for investment. Of course we also come for the Gorillas but the cleanliness and safety is another attraction that has the potential to attract many tourists from all over the world.”, he said.

Clare Akamanzi, the CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, said the fact that the executives come from different backgrounds like health, infrastructure, education and finance among others, presents the potential of diversified investments. (End)
