Premier Minister Edouard Ngirente received Thomas Östros, Vice President of European Investment Bank (EIB) with oversight of Energy, Health and Life Science and Development.
The discussions between the two leaders focused on how to strengthen the existing partnerships in agriculture, education, health, renewable energy, life science and development.
Thomas Östros also had fruitful discussions with Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr Uzziel Ndagijimana about EIB support for climate finance, health and private sector.
Thomas Östros highlighted the EIB’s commitment to move more projects into implementation stage that will benefit people in Rwanda
The European Investment Bank is the long-term lending institution of the European Union owned by its Member States. It makes long-term finance available for sound investment in order to contribute towards EU policy goals. (End)
