This morning at the Kigali Convention Centre, President Kagame joins visiting Heads of State and Government, leaders of international institutions, global policy-makers and dignitaries, industry leaders and representatives of the private sector for the Opening Session of the 2024 Africa CEO Forum.
“The more united Africa is, the more productive our engagement with partners will become. Integration, for Africa’s business community, is an opportunity to grow our markets, and become more competitive. Africa does not have to ask for a seat at the table,” said President Kagame at the Africa CEO Forum 2024.
The annual summit of the Africa CEO Forum is the largest international meeting of the African private sector. Two days of conferences, debates and high-level meetings dedicated to highlighting the driving role of the private sector in the development of the continent.
This year’s Africa CEO Forum (ACF), which brings together more than 2,500 business leaders and policymakers, has kicked off in Kigali and will run from 16-17 May.
Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame is hosting the event for the second time in Kigali. It is organised by Jeune Afrique Media Group in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group.
Kenyan President William Ruto, Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, and Djiboutian President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh are in Kigali for this forum. Ivorian Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé and Guinean Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah are expected to attend. (End)
