President Kagame who is also the AU Champion on Domestic Health Financing, attended a dinner hosted by Professor Senait Fisseha, Vice President of Global Programs at the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, which brought together Ministers of Health from across Africa, as well as regional and continental stakeholders in the health sector.
“The meeting discussed the importance of building effective national health systems through domestic financing and mutually beneficial partnerships”, according to the Rwandan State House.
The participants also attended the launch of Rwanda’s Health Intelligence Center, which uses artificial intelligence to gather health data from communities and health facilities across the country, to enable efficient resource allocation and strengthen the national health systems. (End)
