President Kagame has on Thursday took part in the the Second Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union, Regional Economic Committees and the Regional Mechanisms alongside President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa who chairs the AU and Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chair of the African Union Commission.
Adressing the virtual conference, President Kagame noted that forging more productive partnerships between Africa and the world is very important for all involved, insisting that we cannot afford to continue with business as usual. He emphasised that it starts at the regional level and builds to the continent as a whole.
President Kagame also shared the good progress towards East African Community integration, and the deepened cooperation achieved during this COVID-19 pandemic. (End)
