Today, President Kagame alongside Howard G. Buffet attended the inaugural graduation ceremony at the Rwanda Institute of Conservation Agriculture (RICA), where 75 students received their Bachelor’s degrees in Conservation Agriculture.
“Agriculture is a critical driver of Africa’s economic growth. But we have not yet unlocked its full potential. Graduates, in this context, I challenge you to identify a problem, give it your full attention, and make it your purpose to solve it. You will experience many setbacks. Having a vision is often the difference between giving up and persevering,” President Kagame said at the RICA Graduation Ceremony.
RICA was established to provide a hands-on training approach for youth interested in agricultural careers. RICA’s experiential approach allows students to learn and to address the real-world challenges they’ll face in their careers.” (End)
