President Kagame delivered remarks during the inaugural International Conference on Public Health in Africa, hosted by the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the African Union.
The virtual conference, co-chaired by Prof. Agnes Binagwaho and Prof. Senait Fisseha, brings together different stakeholders from government, academia, private sector and civil society for discussions on Africa’s journey towards a more comprehensive and holistic approach to public health across the continent.
President Kagame participated in today’s Opening Ceremony alongside DRC President H.E. Félix Antoine Tshisekedi and Chair of the African Union Commission H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat.
The World Health Organization Regional Director for Africa Dr. Matshidiso Moeti and Director of the Africa CDC Dr. John Nkengasong also participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 3-day conference. (End)
