President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame joined thousands of traditional dance enthusiasts for ‘Inkuru ya 30’ concert by Inyamibwa Cultural Troupe, narrating Rwanda’s journey of transformation in the last three decades.
Renowned Inyamibwa Cultural Troupe was founded in 1998 by a group of students members of the Genocide Survivors Students’ Association (AERG) at University of Rwanda with the aim of promoting the Rwandan culture through traditional dance.
Inyamibwa Cultural Troupe gracefully gave a 3-hour epic performance to thousands of people who turned up at BK Arena.
The troupe is renowned for their exceptional performances, which they primarily give during traditional weddings. They have attended a number of events both inside and outside of Africa.
They also participated in France at the 2021 Festival du Confolens, an internationally renowned folklore festival featuring popular music, songs, dances and customs from five continents. (End)
