President Kagame held a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Union Commission, ahead of today’s G20 CwA during which they discussed various areas of cooperation including the partnership for vaccine manufacturing in Rwanda.
“Good meeting with President of Rwanda Paul Kagame. Rwanda will be one of the engines of Africa’s recovery. We discussed the large scope for stronger partnerships between our businesses and communities”, said Ursula von der Leyen via tweeter.
The G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) was initiated under the German G20 Presidency to promote private investment in Africa, including in infrastructure. The CwA’s primary objective is to increase attractiveness of private investment through substantial improvements of the macro, business and financing frameworks. (End)
