President Kagame met a delegation from the International Vaccine Institute

Rwandan President Paul Kagame met today with George Bickerstaff, chair of International Vaccine Institute (IVI) Board of Trustees, its Director General Jerome Kim, and their delegation.

President Kagame with the delegation from the International Vaccine Institute headquarters discussed vaccine research and development.

This morning, the IVI delegation visited the National Vaccine Warehouse and discussed vaccination programs, vaccine supply chain as well as vaccines research.

Yesterday, the delegation held a meeting with the Minister of Health Dr Sabin Nsanzimana and discussed potential areas of collaboration in the biomanufacturing ecosystem.

The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) is an independent, nonprofit, international organization founded on the belief that the health of children in developing countries can be dramatically improved by the use of new and improved vaccines.

The United Nations Development Programme founded this international organization on October 9, 1997. It has 39 member states and the World Health Organization; with a headquarters in Seoul, Republic of Korea (End)
