President Kagame met with his French counterpart

Today on the sidelines of the 19th Summit of La Francophonie in Paris, President Kagame met with President Emmanuel Macron of France for a discussion on issues of mutual interest, including the productive bilateral cooperation in key sectors. 

The two heads of state also exchanged on the need to address the root causes of insecurity in the region through concrete actions and support for regional processes.

This afternoon at Petit Palais in Paris, President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame attended the second day of La Francophonie summit where they joined other leaders for a lunch hosted by International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo. 

President Kagame also attended the Heads of State and Government closed session on the theme of “Renewed Multilateralism.”  (End)
