As BAL season 4(BAL4) comes to an end today, President Kagame met with the leadership of NBA(National Basketball Association) Africa and BAL (Basketball Africa League), investors in the league as well as former players.
They discussed the role of sports as a driver of economic growth and the success BAL has had from its initial games in Rwanda to the record-breaking attendance for BAL4 games in four African countries.
They also discussed the importance of investing in sports infrastructure, talent development and an eco-system that leads to Africa’s youth fulfilling their potential.
The 2024 BAL season is the 4th season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 9 March 2024 and came to an end with the final on 1 June 2024, at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda for a fourth consecutive season.
The Basketball Africa League is the premier men’s basketball league in Africa. Founded in 2019, the organization was established by both the National Basketball Association(NBA) and International Basketball Federation. (End)
