This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received American comedian Dave Chappelle, who performed in Rwanda for the first time yesterday.
Dave Chappelle arrived in Rwanda on Wednesday ahead of his show which was held at Kōzo Kigali, a high end restaurant, where revelers parted with Rwf200,000 to watch the legendary funnyman perform.
Born in 1973 in Washington DC, Dave Chappelle is widely regarded as one of the world’s most renowned stand-up comedian and actor.
By 2006, Chappelle was called the “comic genius of America” by Esquire, and, in 2013, “the best” by a Billboard writer.
In 2017, Rolling Stone ranked him No. 9 in their “50 Best Stand Up Comics of All Time”(End)
