President Paul Kagame received Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in Kigali on Thursday morning, June 23, 2022, in Kigali, where he is attending the CHOGM2022 meeting.
The two leaders discussed cooperation between Rwanda and the United Kingdom, including cooperation agreements on the reception of refugees and asylum seekers, as well as economic development cooperation.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom arrived in Rwanda on Thursday morning for his historic visit, where the British Ambassador to Rwanda, Omar Daair, and the Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Prof Nshuti Manasseh, received him at the Kigali International Airport.
Arriving in Rwanda, in a message via Twitter, he announced that he had arrived in peace, joined CHOGM and contributed to resolving global issues, including hunger, climate change, increased trade power and some of the most economically active sectors in the world.
“With our shared values, history and language, the Commonwealth is a unique and important organization,” he said. (End)
