President Kagame receives message from his counterpart of Guinea

President Kagame received Hon. Morissanda Kouyaté, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea who brought him a message from President Mamadi Doumbouya.

They also exchanged on the fruitful bilateral collaboration in key sectors including trade and investment, ICT and digitalization of services, among others. 

Minister Morissanda Kouyaté will also be joining the inaugural meeting of the Joint Permanent Commission between Rwanda and Guinea taking place over the next two days.

President Mamadi Doumbouya visited Rwanda in January 2024.  Doumbouya’s visit followed President Kagame’s visit to the Western African country in April 2022, becoming the first African President to visit Guinea since Doumbouya, then ranked Colonel, overthrew the then President Alpha Condé in a military coup.  (End)
