Today at the Kigali Arena, President Kagame is attending the Hanga Pitchfest 2021 competition where he will be awarding the first-place winner before delivering a keynote address.
The start-up competition, which was co-organized by the Ministry of ICT & Innovation alongside the Rwanda Development Board, is a unique platform designed to promote the power of technology, innovation, and the creative sector by showcasing top innovators in Rwanda.
The 5 finalists selected from an initial shortlist of 45 startups, will participate in a live pitch competition, in what is the culmination of the month-long competition. The top 5 start-ups who participated in Hanga Pitchfest 2021 will receive both cash prizes and additional non-cash prizes to support their operations and expansions.
The judges deliberating during today’s live pitch are Prof. Senait Fisseha, Director of Global Programs at the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, Ron Fisher, Director of Product at Mindbody, Alice Nkulikiyinka, Country Director at BPN Rwanda, Clarisse Iribagiza, Founder and CEO of Hehe and Eric Kacou, Founder and CEO of Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners.(End)
