Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente virtually delivered a keynote address at the 2021 Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa (MEFMI) Combined Forum.
In his address, Prime Minister Ngirente shared with participants some key macroeconomic policy initiatives implemented by the Government of Rwanda to ensure positive and quick recovery.
Prime Minister also called upon participants to strengthen the Pan-African collaboration through the implementation of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as a way to unlock barriers affecting intra-Africa trade.
He finally emphasized on the need to forge strong and sustainable partnerships and apply the lessons learned from COVID-19 to revive our economies.
The Combined Forum Series is an annual executive event specifically targeting Ministers and Permanent/Principal Secretaries of the ministries of Finance and Planning as well as Central Bank Governors in the 14 MEFMI countries including Rwanda.(End)
