RDB (Rwanda Development Board) Deputy CEO Nelly Mukazayire received Mama Keita, the outgoing Director for Eastern Africa at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), for a farewell visit as she completes her tour of duty.
Nelly Mukazayire and Mama Keita discussed UNECA’s ongoing collaborations with Rwanda in tourism, agriculture, trade, and human capacity development for economic growth.
Rwanda hosts the sub-regional UNECA office for Eastern Africa. The key focus of the Commission’s work in the sub-region and in Rwanda is to promote the regional integration and strengthen the capacity of its member States, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and Intergovernmental Organisations (IGOs) in order to speed up the economic and social development in the sub-region.
