The Secretary General of the ruling Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), Wellars Gasamagera, welcomed a delegation from the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Zhejiang Province in a courtesy call.
The delegation is visiting Rwanda to explore further areas of mutual cooperation, with a particular focus on city-to-city partnerships. The District of Musanze in the Northern Province of Rwanda and China’s Jinhua in eastern China have an established partnership.
During the discussions, the Secretary General of the ruling party encouraged both sides to expand technical cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and capacity building.
The CPPCC officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the already strong relations between the two countries.
CPPCC is a political advisory body in the People’s Republic of China and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s united front system. Its members advise and put proposals for political and social issues to government bodies. (End)
