The Algerian Revolution was a major armed conflict between France and the Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN) that began on November 1, 1954. The war led to Algeria’s independence from France in 1962. The revolution was marked by guerrilla warfare and war crimes, and resulted in the deaths of more than 1.5 million Algerians.

The anniversary of the Algerian Revolution is a time to honor the sacrifices of the country’s ancestors and inspire future generations. It is also a time to reaffirm the country’s commitment to the principles of the revolution and to the path of national progress. (End)
