Rwanda and Angola enjoy warm and growing bilateral relations over the years. Our two countries share a commitment to mutual development and regional stability, reflected in our cooperation across various sectors, including Trade, Health, ICT, Justice, Security, and political dialogue. Each area of collaboration strengthens the ties between our nations and deepens our shared aspirations for a better future.

As we gear towards the upcoming Second Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation between our two brotherly nations, Rwanda reaffirms its commitment to further strengthening these relations. We eagerly anticipate exploring new areas of collaboration that will benefit our two Peoples and strengthen our partnership.

Among notable areas of collaboration between Rwanda and Angola lie in our joint commitment to promoting peace and stability in our region and continent at large. Angola has been an important partner in mediating peace efforts through the Luanda Process. Under the leadership of His Excellency President João Lourenço, Angola has played a pivotal role in facilitating diplomatic engagement and fostering dialogue to ease tensions and resolve conflicts in our region.

Rwanda appreciates Angola’s dedication to these efforts and stands ready to continue working alongside Angola and other regional partners in pursuit of these shared goals. Together, we aim to foster the safety, stability and prosperity of our continent.

As Rwanda joins Angola in marking this significant milestone, I would like to reaffirm our commitment to working hand in hand, to advancing our cooperation, and to supporting each other in our aspirations for a peaceful, united, and prosperous Africa.

Now, may I kindly invite you all to raise your glasses in a toast to His Excellency President João Lourenço, the People, and the Government of the Republic of Angola. Cheers! Thank you for your kind attention! (End)
